At this time, a 30 guided minute meditation is included in the cost of a yoga class once a month where we will spend the first 45 minutes moving into yoga poses and the last 30 minutes in some type of guided meditation. If the yoga class includes meditation, it will be listed in the class description.
We may offer 60 minute meditation classes in the near future.
Visualization is a type of meditation focusing on the use of guided imagery, creating a mental image or scenario in your mind to take you out of your busy day-to-day and into a place of inner peace.
Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation also known as "yogic sleep" where the body is deeply asleep but the mind remains awake, yet still relaxed. It is practiced lying down with a teacher guiding the session focusing on the breath and different parts of the body, relaxing and reaching deep consciousness. Research has shown that Yoga Nidra can help reduce stress, anxiety and insomnia.
